Richard G. Patton is the founder and headmaster of Aleithia Learning Community (ALC). Rick holds a B.S. in education from West Chester University, an M.A. in Christian School Administration from Grace Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Biblical Theological Seminary. Prior to founding ALC in 1989, Rick worked as a teacher and administrator for 12 years in both public and private Christian schools. In 1998 and 2005, Rick was recognized with the Who's Who Among America's Teachers Award. He has authored the following Aleithia Project Study Guides: Building a Christian Worldview (two volumes); Building Word Power from Classical Roots (three volumes); Exploring History - A Christian and Critical Reading Approach for elementary, middle school, and high school levels (four volumes each); and the Critical Reading Road to Writing and Speaking for elementary, middle school, and high school levels (four volumes each)
Rick and his wife, Lindsay, began homeschooling in 1988. All three of their children, Miriam, John, and Naomi, have been homeschooled from the outset of their formal education; and all three have been nurtured within the context of the Aleithia Learning Community.
